STIG MARLON WESTON

Born in Oslo, Stig Marlon Weston grew up with one foot in the English countryside, where his father hails from. Constantly comparing slight cultural differences he came to always question the truth of the individual viewpoint, taking this mindset into his later work. Experimenting with cameraless photography, he brings photography back to being an objective observer operating outside space and time as seen by the human eye. Weston has been represented at both the National Autumn Exhibition and the state regional exhibitions in Norway, is a member of the FFF and is based in Oslo where he runs the CYAN studio collective.

Having studied professional photography in Norway he cares about the fundamental questions of photography, keeping the physical print and process important aspects of the finished work. Looking at how we see and interpret the landscape around us as a symbol of our worldview he reimagines traditional photography with cameraless and processbased techniques.
