Dilla Djalil-Daniel Indonesia, b. 1966

Dilla Djalil Daniel (b. 1966) is a Jakarta-based documentary photographer. Dilla has been taking photographs all her life, but it took a challenging workshop in Bangkok to convince her that she had a genuine talent for photography. Mentored by Andrea Bruce, Maggie Steber and Adriana Zehbrauskas, Dilla established herself as an accomplished photographer and rose to fame becoming in 2016 Leica Ambassador in Indonesia. In 2017, she published her first monograph “A Trunk and Other Tails”.

Her works are in private collections in the United Kingdom and Indonesia. The Langham Hotel in Jakarta has commissioned many of her works.
