Arianne Clément Canada, b. 1980

Arianne Clément hails from Acton Vale, Canada. After studying for a Bachelor’s Degree in the Visual Arts at Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), she landed a job as a journalist in Nunavut a position that inspired her to continue her training at the University of the Arts in London where she earned a Master's Degree in Photojournalism. After obtaining a master’s degree with honours in photography from University of the Arts London, Arianne Clément travelled far and wide to find inspiration, often getting involved in humanitarian projects with the marginalized, her preferred subjects.

From Quebec to the Amazon, she travels the world looking for stories, especially those that feature humanitarian projects and marginalized populations. Clément’s compelling images of the elderly, showcased in numerous national and international exhibitions, have shone a spotlight on her work and won her a number of awards, prizes and honors. As well, her photojournalism is frequently published in major newspapers and magazines around the globe.
