Florence Montmare creates photographs, films, performances, and installations. She is an alumn of the International Center of Photography. Her work has been exhibited internationally at Les Rencontres de la Photographie d’Arles, Saarlandmuseum, Centre d’art Contemporain du Luxembourg, Musée d’Art Moderne et d’Art Contemporain Belgium, Färgfabriken Sweden, Helsinki Photo Festival/The National Museum of Finland and at Fotografiska New York. Her series "Scenes from an Island" emanates from her creative work initiated during her first artist residency at the Ingmar Bergman Estate in 2015. Since then, her oeuvre has led to numerous international exhibitions, positive reviews and a 160-page book release encompassing both literature and images.
