Florence Montmare creates photographs, films, performances, and installations. She is an alumn of the International Center of Photography. Her work has been exhibited internationally at Les Rencontres de la Photographie d’Arles, Saarlandmuseum, Centre d’art Contemporain du Luxembourg, Musée d’Art Moderne et d’Art Contemporain Belgium, Färgfabriken Sweden, Helsinki Photo Festival/The National Museum of Finland and at Fotografiska New York.
Her monograph America Series was published by Damiani Books (Bologna 2023) and Scenes from an Island was published by Kerber Verlag (Bielefeld 2024). Her next solo exhibition with works from this series will open winter 2025 at Gotland Museum.
